Prettification of Narcissus

So I have a new layout, courtesy of gossymer at noveltybox. There are also some really nice layouts in the currently spotlighted thefulcrum, which prompted me to go looking for a layout in the first place.

And I've updated my journal title, which is now officially nicked from The Guesthouse by Rumi (translated by Coleman Barks with John Moyne).


This being human is a guesthouse.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.


And now I'm going to shower before work. And then at some point I'm going to work out moode themes, and if I can do them. Because journaling can be pretty too.
